Card and Custom Envelope from the Huntington Paper Collection
This is a display card made from the Huntington Paper Collection. It has lots of layers to create depth to the pattern. Front and Back views of the card. I had to custom make a envelope for this one for it was to thick for the standard envelope.

This layout is done with the Ivy Lane Paper Collection. The little banner on the left page has a journal spot inside it. I will add more to the page as I find the right pictures for the layout.
Anniversary Card
This is the card I made this year for my Husband on our Anniversary. When I saw the dragonfly stamp I knew I had to use it for a card for him. The inside says why, I used the Buzz and Bumble Paper Collection. He now looks for a hand made card every year. The card is a standard size card, and the inside was done on my computer using the color setting to match our desert sand color. I love being able to match our colors for the inside of the cards. Close To My Heart is just the best and provides us with great supplies to create beautiful pieces of Art.
A Tiny 2″ Treat Bag
This is a tiny 2″ gift box done from the Ivy Lane Paper Collection. Very simple for it is so small and doesn’t need a lot of embellishing. It was quick and easy and only took about 35 minutes to make. I used the Cards and More Basket pattern to create the box and then embellished it. Remember to get the Cards and More Basket pattern from Inking From The Heart to make this. I just made it a lot smaller and left off the side panels that are in the full version of the basket. It is perfect for just a few pieces of candy or a little trinket of sorts as a thank you to someone.

Madeline Morcelo’s pattern “Cards and More Basket” is a great pattern. You can find it on her blog Inking From The Heart. She does such beautiful design work, I love her work so much. These are a few of my versions of the pattern. The Black and White are done from the For Always Paper Collection. The Red, Black and White one was done for a teacher Anita Shackelford and The Blue one was done for the other teacher Joan Knight. They were the teachers at the Retreat my husband and I attended in April. They give so much to us in product and in knowledge that I wanted to do something nice for them. They were liked and a big hit at the retreat. The pattern is so easy, be sure and go to Madeline’s blog and purchase the pattern. It is only a $5.00 pattern, you will love it. It has great instructions and very easy to follow.
First in the Series “For the Love Of Quilts”
In April Tim and I went to the Southern Belle Retreat. This is a Retreat for Quilters that own and operate a Gammill Statler Machine. I wanted to do a nice door prize featuring the retreat logo which is the little girl figure on the cards and box. The box will hold six cards that are layered with their envelopes, 12 if they are not layered. This was so much fun. I used the Jubilee Paper Collection and created the box by hand. I will be posting instructions on this box at a later time.
Layout Page From the Ivy Lane Paper Collection
This is a one page layout for the lead page of a album featuring the Ivy Lane Paper Collection. I’m not sure which version I will use yet, but playing with the other pages first before deciding. I like them both but my heart is happier with the Ivy Lane Purple version I think. Can’t wait to find the perfect picture for this page.
Gift Bags
These are 3″ x 3″ Gift Bags I made using Skylark and Ivy Lane Paper Collections. They take one sheet of print paper and one sheet of card stock to complete each one. I added a little extra stamping to the Skylark version. On the Ivy Lane version I cut out one of the flowers from the pattern paper and using the Smokey Plum Ink I lightly colored it with a sponge dauber and then added another small flower to the center for an extra layer. I love my layers. The pattern I used is from Madeline Morcelo and is called Cards and More Basket. Pattern can be purchased through Madeline at Inking from the heart. A very fun project to use as a gift bag to say thanks. A 3″ stamp collection will fit inside as well as a few treats. What a nice gift this will make for a hostess for having a great gathering, or any other event you need a little something to say thanks and you appreciate them.
